Forgiving doesn’t mean what happened was okay.

It just means you’re letting go of the hopeless wish,

that you wish things *could* have been different.

You stop saying ‘it shouldn’t have happened’,

because,

in fact,

it *did* happen.

Until you accept that fact,

you can’t move on.
